Step 1: Download and print the tasks

Below are two math tasks the students in the upcoming video have worked on. Students completed Growing Dots first, then moved on to More Growing Dots, which they will be discussing in the video. Download and print the tasks if you haven’t already.

Step 2: Complete the tasks

Take a few minutes to work on More Growing Dots (and the original Growing Dots task, if you haven’t done so in a previous VIM module). Take a picture of your work so that you can share it with others.

Step 3: Reflect on the task

Go to your Angel’s Question Journal and respond to the prompts for Activity 1. You will be asked to insert a picture of your work, reflect on your approach to More Growing Dots, and consider how your students might approach the task. If you haven’t downloaded your Angel’s Question Journal, do so now.
